The Texas Education Agency will reimburse Texas school districts and open enrollment charter schools (local education agencies) for UTeach Blended Learning professional development through August 2024, including UTeach AP Computer Science professional development.

- Eligibility: Only public school districts and open enrollment charter schools in Texas are eligible for this PD reimbursement (view details). Districts must fully complete the steps below and each teacher must fully complete the professional development to be eligible for reimbursement of professional development costs. Districts must purchase professional development (reimbursable by TEA) and purchase a license (not reimbursable by TEA). TEA will send the reimbursement for the professional development costs to the district.
Steps for Texas School Districts to Get PD Reimbursement:
- Submit the reimbursement request form for AP CS Professional Development (further below).
- Register each teacher for PD and a license. Ensure payment (or at least a purchase order) is submitted to UTeach CS at least five days before the PD begins.
- For each teacher who fully completes the professional development before August 20, 2024, UTeach CS will notify TEA to initiate the reimbursement of professional development costs back to the district. *License costs will not be reimbursed by TEA.
