Join UTeach CS for an enriching 3-hour professional development session to empower CS educators with effective instructional strategies to promote student engagement. Teachers will participate in a project-based group activity, explore effective instructional strategies, and discover how culturally responsive assignments can foster a growth mindset amongst students.

Professional Development Date: Saturday, September 9 from 10 am – 1 pm CT
Stipend: Participants will receive a $300 stipend upon successful completion of the PD session. Stipends will be issued to teachers who meet the eligibility requirements, based on the order applications are received. Please note that completing the application does not guarantee a stipend.
Eligibility: Participants must meet the following criteria to ensure a productive and engaging learning experience:
- Current and future high school CS teachers are eligible to participate (only U.S. residents are eligible for the stipend)
- Current and previous UTeach CS teachers may participate, but might not be eligible for the stipend based on previous stipends received
- Participants must be available for the entirety of the 3-hour session and have access to a computer with a stable internet connection throughout the virtual session.
- Participants must participate in all activities and group discussions, create an artifact from the session, complete a post-PD survey, and complete the stipend paperwork within 3 days of the PD to receive their stipend.
