Scholarships are available to provide CS professional development, curriculum, and stipends to Texas middle school teachers in 2026. Scholarships and stipends are made possible by generous funding from Lockheed Martin for the Arlington workshop and from WeTeach_CS for the San Antonio and Austin workshops.

Texas middle school teachers from any background can apply to join an immersive, high-energy workshop focused on sparking creativity and critical thinking through hands-on STEM activities. Dive into "Vibe Coding," where you’ll master visual logic in Scratch and then use AI as a powerful co-pilot to translate those ideas into polished projects. Get hands-on with Sphero robotics, navigating bots through precision challenges and logistics simulations that bring computational thinking to life. Harness the power of the Texas sun to explore alternative energy, building and testing solar-powered racers while learning the physics of gear ratios and torque. Participants will walk away with a full STEM kit, ready-to-use curriculum, and practical strategies for integrating STEM tools and AI into their daily lessons.

- ($1,000 value) Free professional development, along with 28 hours of CPE credit (continuing professional education)
- ($1,100 value) Free STEM kit with robots used in the workshop, classroom-ready Technology Applications curriculum, platform accounts, and ongoing teacher support
Eligibility Requirements:
- You must be teaching at a middle school in the state of Texas during the 2026–27 academic year.
- You must fully attend one of the professional development workshops listed below.
- Preference will be given to middle teachers scheduled to teach CS or Technology Applications courses in the 2026–27 academic year.
Travel and Workshop Details:
- All travel costs, lodging costs, and dinner costs are the responsibility of the participant (stipend is intended to offset costs for non-locals).
- Breakfast and lunch will be provided to participants. Parking costs will be covered.
